Hotelier Helge Klingenfeldt-Hansen is celebrating his 60th birthday on the family estate, and all his children have come to celebrate. Among them are Christian, a successful restaurateur in Paris, Michael, a restaurant owner in Copenhagen, and Helene, a bon vivant and long-term student. But what is supposed to be a nice family celebration turns into a disaster: the eldest son Christian reveals the bitter truth about the friendly family life during the banquet speech. The father has abused his children and the mother has turned a blind eye. While the father tries to destroy his son's credibility, it becomes clear that the murderer is once again the father, and the family is a place of crime.
