Cash-n-Go and Vocoder

The Summer Night of Voices once again presents a cappella entertainment at its finest. As always, the host is the Augsburg group CASH-N-GO - a phenomenon: with hardly any other a cappella ensemble do listeners so easily become loyal followers, an intoxicating feast for the eyes, ears, heart and diaphragm, to marvel at, lean back and enjoy. The Vocoder ensemble from Hamburg will be our guest for this summer night.

CASH-N-GO - a phenomenon: with hardly any other a cappella ensemble do listeners so easily become loyal followers who often take every opportunity to enjoy this extraordinary vocal troupe again and again. How can this fascination be explained for entire families, from grandchildren to grandparents, and for entire companies, from trainees to management?
Well, it's the balance between sophistication and first-class entertainment, which the six musicians achieve as naturally as taking a breath. Sometimes serious, sometimes (self-)ironic, always passionate and vocally brilliant, the singers, who are completely unaffected by their acting talent, master the challenge of touching and amusing their audience with ease. This healthy mixture of intelligent humor and true skill lends each of their performances an artful lightness. Boredom is guaranteed to be out of place here. Spontaneous storms of enthusiasm, thunderous applause and an exhilarating journey home are pre-programmed.
Since 2002, singer and prophylaxis assistant Christina Bianco (soprano), singer and hearing aid specialist Thomas Haala (countertenor), retired speech teacher Wayne Wegener (tenor), medical expert Thomas Steingruber (baritone) and entrepreneur Markus Schmoll (bass) have been performing together on stage as CASH-N-GO. Psychologist Julian Dempf (tenor) has been a member since 2019 (as successor to founding member Martin Seiler). As different as the personalities are, their ensemble sound is unmistakable and harmonious. They function as a homogeneous unit, yet each also shines as a soloist. Their repertoire, all arranged by Seiler, Wegener, Bianco and Dempf, ranges from new interpretations of fast-paced rock, pop and R&B hits to whimsical pop songs, emotional ballads and sophisticated jazz. They are regularly engaged for various cultural events, festivals, balls, dinner evenings, radio and TV broadcasts, public and private occasions and corporate events. However, they have also often appeared as hosts themselves, for example at their concert series "CASH-N-FRIENDS" or "Augsburger A-cappella-Weihnacht". Having long since outgrown the stage of an insider tip, they have developed into Augsburg's musical figurehead and established themselves at the forefront of the European a cappella scene. In addition to impressive vocal culture at the highest level, the sound artists score points above all with their varied, relaxed and entertaining show. Enigmatically witty facial expressions and gestures and the unobtrusive, hilarious choreography leave their audience little time to take a deep breath. But their program is not only full of musical highlights: in between, the band members' punchy and largely free moderation provides refreshingly comedic moments. Full of improvisational talent and enthusiasm, the open-minded, likeable musicians poke fun at themselves or each other, referring to current topics and regional circumstances. That's why no two concerts are the same - you're never safe from surprises. With alert eyes and ears, the six make contact with the audience from the very first song. Their honest and uninhibited good humor spills over the edge of the stage so freely that after just a few minutes they are able to establish a connection with their guests that is rarely found. With a great deal of dramatic wit and charm, the vocal acrobats manage to captivate young and old alike and entertain perfectly. This is proven not only by the numerous awards that CASH-N-GO has received from juries at national and international competitions (including first, second and third prizes, gold diplomas and special awards). Particularly significant is the fact that the group has already been voted audience winner in three contests. Concertgoers can expect an exhilarating feast for the eyes, ears, heart and diaphragm, to marvel at, lean back and enjoy. Anyone who has experienced a performance by CASH-N-GO will never forget it.
