A short film by Rebeca Bednarzyk
A balmy sunrise over the rooftops of the city. Two strangers who have become friends overnight find their way onto the roof of a school. Lola, who likes to pretend she's someone else, and Quentin, who likes to pretend he understands everyone. Lola likes to seduce, Quentin likes to lull people to sleep with his loving and understanding manner. The two like to play their games, but on this night they seem to have found a worthy opponent. No matter where Lola changes her personality, Quentin goes with her. They find themselves in a new game they've created, where the first one to fall out of character or admit it's a game seems to lose. Except maybe Quentin has really found someone he wants to understand in Lola, and Lola feels strangely comfortable with someone for the first time. They could take the risk and be themselves. But then what's left? As the night draws to a close, their game inevitably comes to an end too.

A short film by Rebeca Bednarzyk, Lili Fox, Paul Kahla, Fatemeh Pirhadi & Franka Siegmund
Oliver struggles with loneliness. Winter welcomes him with open arms. The days are dark and we're all depressed, aren't we? But even when the sun shines longer again and spreads its warmth over the city, Oliver continues to freeze alone. The film deals with the invisible feelings that so many of us carry around with us every day. It tells of hope and disappointment and asks the question of whether things will go on like this forever.

"WOHIN DU GEHST" (2023, drama, German OV without subtitles, 30 min.)
A short film by Rebeca Bednarzyk
He and she, two people without names, two strangers seen strolling on the other side of the street. She is moving in with him for a few days and has an appointment in the city. His apartment seems to connect the two of them, they know each other from before. They are friendly with each other and yet there is always something in the air. It bothers him that she always leaves in the evening and that he doesn't know where to go. She is sad that he is moving away, leaving the apartment behind. And yet it is he who makes her cocoa when she comes home at night and she who brings him coffee in the morning. It's just like before, except now she sleeps on the couch. Now they are older, more grown up, old feelings are outdated. Everything is packed up and yet there's still something they both can't let go of. A movie about the relationship between two people who have forgotten how to talk to each other, even though there is still so much to say.

"I WANT YOU TO THINK OF PARADISE" (2025, experimental, English & German OV without subtitles, 10 min.)
An abstract short film by Annika Toyah Bode
At the intersection of performance, poetry, color and sound, the fleeting sense of belonging awaits. A collective design of closeness, the attempt to invent paradise together. Greed, landscape, namelessness, the fitting of all. Over there, a synthetic mountain. Are you coming with me? I think what you wear in paradise grows there. You don't have to understand it to look good in it.

"HIT THE ROAD JACK" (2024, Coming of Age, German OV without subtitles, 40 min.)
A short film by Rebecca E. Bednarzyk and Robert Emil Tappe
Jules has run away from home, doesn't want to look back and that nobody misses her - or maybe they do? Kai has a similar story to tell, running away from his feelings, his past and perhaps also from himself. Mehra, on the other hand, sees her whole future ahead of her: quiet and peaceful on a small farm in the countryside. Jules meets the two and their world views collide. She learns from Kai how to get by, without a home, without money. After all, you only need money if you want to pay for it. With Mehra, she can swim in lakes, drink coffee on the veranda and enjoy the quiet life on the farm. After all, just because she has run away from home doesn't mean she will never be allowed to stay there again. A film about home and homelessness, about missing and being missed, settling down or moving on and on in search of one's own place in the world.
