Sonderfahrt: Food House & ildikó

Sonderfahrt is a non-commercial series of events. We invite musicians with an anti-fascist, queer point of view to Munich for a good time with you.

A new Sonderfahrt is coming up with two of our favorite music projects! Deconstructed electronic music without genre boundaries meets rap, performance and fun. We invite Food House (Gupi & Fraxiom) as well as ildikó to Munich for the first time.

With the tailwind of the release of their long-awaited second album "Two House", Food House are planning to terrorize Europe this September under the guise of their biggest headlining tour yet. After last year's sold-out, 18-city EU debut, the duo returns with an all-new setlist centered around their 17-track album, which also includes the singles "special" and "kutna hora."

We sent reporters to the US to try and get one or both of them for an interview. Gupi was quoted as saying, "Wait, what did you just ask me?" Fraxiom jumped the fence and ran across a highway median to get away from our other reporter.

ildikó (Bandcamp / Instagram)

ildikó primarily makes rap. She doesn't follow a particular style, but tries out all the directions she feels like going in. Her songs are aggressive, emotional and humorous. Her lyrics are based on personal experiences and fictional scenarios and speak on loud, unconventional beats about feminism, empowerment and what she experienced and was shaped by as a young woman.

The collaboration with her producer IANEK is a creative process characterized by experimentation, mutual understanding and friendship. Together they develop musical worlds that often become the settings for their songs. She gained attention in September 2024 with her song "GUCK MICH NICH AN".

Riding the momentum from the release of their long-awaited sophomore album "Two House," Food House is threatening to terrorize Europe this September under the guise of "performing" their grandest headlining tour yet. Following last year's sold-out EU debut across 18 cities, the duo is back with an all-new setlist centered around their 17-track behemoth LP, featuring breakout singles "special" and "kutna hora."
