In cooperation with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Humanes Sterben (DGHS) e.V. followed by a themed discussion.

A champagne reception will be held at the DGHS information stand in the foyer from 11.30 am.

To whom does our life belong? And who decides on our death? In the major TV event "GOTT by Ferdinand von Schirach", these questions are discussed in a fictional ethics council. It is about the case of a 78-year-old, perfectly healthy man who wants to end his life with a drug and the help of his doctor. This has been legally possible since February of this year following a ruling by the Federal Constitutional Court, but the ethical debate is still ongoing.

In November 2020, Das Erste will show the TV film with a top-class cast including Barbara Auer, Lars Eidinger, Matthias Habich, Ulrich Matthes, Anna Maria Mühe, Christiane Paul, Götz Schubert and Ina Weisse, which was directed by award-winning director Lars Kraume based on the play and book of the same name "GOTT von Ferdinand von Schirach".
