Immerse yourself in the world of songwriting and discover the fascinating stories behind the creation of songs.

Three songwriters - one topic
3 songwriters are given the same topic and write their own song within 21 days.
At the songwriting slam, we can then find out what fascinating results the creativity of songwriters can lead to.

Exciting insights with a top-class jury
What characterizes a successful song? How creatively was a topic realized? Which song captivates the audience and what is special about it? On the evening, we will not only hear the creative achievements of great and courageous musicians, but also get to hear the exciting perspective of professionals from the industry.

Live performances by the participating songwriters
In addition to the song written especially for the slam, the artists will show what else they have in their repertoire.

It's not about whether a song is better or worse. We celebrate the art of songwriting, of making great lyrics and music that touch us in different ways.

KDO
KDO is a musician from the queer scene. Her sound is strongly influenced by her emotions. With her varied beats and melodies, she brings together several genres. Not only pop and indie, but also RnB can be found in her songs. The music is held together by an outstanding vocal performance.

DaWarWas
The up-and-coming band DaWarWas presents predominantly German-language indie pop songs in their setlists, regardless of their popularity. The five young people - Samuel, Christian, Johanna, Cleo and Ilja - not only share a passion for music, but also appreciate each other. Since spring 2023, they have also been enriching their repertoire with their own songs, with their debut single "Pulp Fiction" leaving plenty of room for the audience's own interpretations. Their shared desire is to live the dream of music realization and thus carry their lyrics and music further.

Luca Grace
Luca Grace enters the stage and immediately attracts everyone's attention with her radiant smile and charismatic presence. Juror: Lauraine
Lauraine Glauber, frontwoman of the Munich synth-pop band LAURAINE, was named Band of the Year 2020 by the Süddeutsche Zeitung. With her debut single Drowning in Flames and the EP LAURAINE, she has established herself as a talented songwriter. In addition to her musical career, she is committed to diversity and inclusion in the music industry and is regularly invited to panel discussions at musical events due to her expertise. Her commitment and artistic achievements have made her a recognized figure in the German music scene.

Juror: Waseem
Achim "Waseem" Seger is a German-Egyptian rapper, DJ and poet who uses his music to address social issues. He has already appeared on Bayerischer Rundfunk, where he spoke about his projects and his commitment. As a member of the international rap crew DSDNG, DJ at KREW and poet at i,Slam, he brings cultural diversity to the stage. With projects such as the intercultural festival "AusARTen" and workshops for young people in rap & poetry, he is committed to intercultural dialog. His experience and creative input make him an ideal choice for the jury of a songwriting competition.
