It's rocking again: with the well-known front couple Vanessa Henning and Patrick Sühl, a party atmosphere is the order of the day at Theater Hagen when the soul train sets off on its journey with a thunderous roar.

Whether as a fast dance number inspired by rhythm and blues or as a heart-rending ballad - soul speaks directly to people's emotions like no other musical genre. Originating in the 50s and 60s as a special form of black music, it gave many artists greater public attention for the first time and a way to convey their experiences and feelings through music. Today, 'soul' has evolved in many different forms and has left its mark on all musical genres from pop to rock and jazz to R 'n' B. In whatever form we encounter it, whether the music conveys joy or sorrow, pure ecstasy or existential melancholy - its immediately stirring effect always remains.

Søren Schuhmacher brings the individual musical numbers to the stage as a scenic-theatrical cross-over. Under the proven musical direction of Andres Reukauf and with choreography by Nicole Eckenigk, a spectacular stage show is guaranteed.
