Sound-Movement Meditation mit Flying Carpet & Peter Piek (Live) unter der Installation ‘GAIA’ von Luke Jerram

In the organizer's words:

Meditative sound experience to join in, followed by a concert by Peter Piek.

About the GAIA installation

The world floats in St. Katharinen and provides a unique view of our beautiful blue planet, as otherwise only astronauts experience it from space. "Gaia" [Greek for "Mother Earth"] is the name of the seven-metre installation by British artist Luke Jerram, a faithful replica of the Earth designed with NASA images. An art installation that shows the beauty and vulnerability of our planet and is therefore anything but artificial. It has already hung in many places around the world. From June 1 to July 17, 2025, Gaia can be seen for the first time in a church in northern Germany - under the starry sky of St. Katharinen.

Under this wonderful installation, Flying Carpet meets musician and painter Peter Piek to guide participants through a heart-opening movement meditation.

This active meditation combines simple, dynamic movements in all directions with breathing. The SHHH sound on the exhale makes this meditation unique and can potentially create a sustaining energy in the group. Accumulated feelings can be released and blocked energies in the body can flow freely again.

All Flying Carpet meditations begin with a (yoga) warm-up and end with Shavasana. Participants need a yoga mat or blanket and water. Comfortable clothing is advantageous.

The meditation takes place from 19:00 to 20:30. admission from 18:45. Followed by a concert by Peter Piek.

The meditation will be followed by a short concert by Peter Piek!
