How can one approach the virtual spaces of the Internet from a musical perspective, reflect its dynamics and structures in sound or use its data streams for compositions?

Under the thematic focus "Webscapes", the seventh edition of the Recorded Sound Festival presents electronic audio productions that acoustically measure the digital spatial structure of the internet and explore its musicality.

In the large sound space of Stage I, an acousmatic environment is created that largely dispenses with visual stimuli and invites visitors to concentrate entirely on listening. A total of ten audio productions will be presented in multi-channel and stereo format, which will then be awarded prizes by a jury of experts and the audience.

In addition to the thematic focus, the free category presents a wide variety of electronic and electroacoustic music: from musical compositions, soundscapes and sound collages to experimental works, narrative audio formats and technoid productions.
