The Maze Cab is a four-piece post-punk band from Berlin and Potsdam. Hypnotically grinning guitar riffs and energetically driving Krautrock beats interlock with permanently distorted bass lines. This controlled conflagration is dominated by the alternating, sometimes two-part vocal lines of Katharina and Gernot - the perfect mix for going along and turning off. Love and revolt and the well-known human abysses, modern life, the autobiographical... these are all themes of The Maze Cab's mostly metaphorically written lyrics. In a sense, a mirror image of their music: the boundaries of the usual genres are fluid. The Maze Cab continue to create their own world.
