Spaniol Nardi – Loving The Aliens

Aliens are stars of pop culture. In science, they are considered the epitome of maximum strangeness. The choreography duo Kathrin Spaniol and Morgan Nardi use "what-if scenarios" to explore the question of how we deal with the unknown. What happens when people encounter a non-human counterpart? Who speaks for humanity? The United Nations? Tech billionaires?

The performance begins in the open air in preparation for the first contact with an unknown species. The audience is then immersed in an immersive space and embarks on a journey between irritation, insight and curiosity. The piece is an invitation to examine one's own perspective. Are we prepared to look in the mirror to find our own in the stranger?
