The two education directors of the New Victory Theater New York, Lindsey Buller Maliekel and Courtney Boodie, together with researchers, conducted a five-year comparative study with two school classes from poverty-stricken neighborhoods. The students, who had regular contact with the theater during this time through attending performances and workshops, actively changed their own lives.
