Sparkle Beasts is a contemporary dance piece for three performers that explores the complexity of identity and the hidden layers of the soul. It explores how childhood experiences and social dynamics, such as exclusion, shape adult life. The choreography contrasts dynamic physicality with moments of childlike simplicity, while always maintaining a strong sense of individuality. The emotional journey is enhanced by interactive, colorful artwork and designs by Rewert Remmers and Sirkka Vanessa Hogh, as well as original music by Milan Julius Phillips. The piece is a dream-like exploration of complicated emotions, peeling away layers to reveal what lies beneath, whether sparkling or frightening.
