Special Screening: Laut und lebendig – Frauen im Kollektiv

In the organizer's words:

On the occasion of 8 March, International Women's Day, the SK Stiftung Kultur is once again showing an international short film program in cooperation with HennaMond e.V., an advice centre against patriarchal violence, which highlights feminist associations of recent decades.

Talking about feminism doesn't just mean focusing on patriarchal violence worldwide. Talking about feminism also means focusing on the feminist struggles and feminist resistance organized against this violence.

The film screening will be followed by a discussion focusing on the feminist perspective on collectivization processes.

Some of the films in the program will be shown in their original language with English or German subtitles.

The film traces the history and strike actions of the women's union of tobacco workers in Nipani, Karnataka, India and was made in collaboration with women workers of the tobacco factory.

Canción sin miedo ft. El Palomar (MX, Vivir Quintana, 2020, 4', Spanish OV with German subtitles)
An anthem of feminist protests in Latin America. Canción sin miedo tells of kidnappings, femicides and the collective and feminist struggle for justice.
