Spielräume
In the organizer's words:
How can we actively shape the social spaces in which we move? What role does the way we communicate with each other play in this? And what possibilities open up for self-determined and solidary coexistence? The exhibition "Spielräume" shows works from the GfZK collection as well as invited artistic positions that test how seemingly fixed points of view can be shifted. They experiment with forms of collective practice, break through familiar patterns or develop their own visions of living together. The exhibition also looks at the structures of the museum itself and asks what barriers exist in everyday life and in the museum, and how we can break them down. Based on different needs, the exhibition appeals to different senses and uses projections and sounds, performances and installations, narrative and documentary approaches to search for what can unite us. An educational program developed in collaboration with various Leipzig initiatives, schools and groups from the city accompanies the exhibition.
