A series of talks by international guests and conversations over a meal at the MARKK Museum am Rothenbaum.
This series is about relentlessly honest conversations: about the crisis-ridden state of the world, what this means for art and science, resistant contemporary practices and visions of the future. Spill comes from "to spill (the tea)" - an expression from black queer culture that stands for the sharing of truths. In cooperation with MARKK, theory meets gossip: every week in the summer courtyard, a guest gives an insight into their own practice. And because world-weariness makes you hungry, the speakers' favorite dishes will be offered during the event.
The Russian art collective Chto Delat has been living in exile in Hamburg since 2023 and combines visual art, film and performance with political theory and activism. At MARKK, the members will talk about their latest strategies for dealing with the increasingly catastrophic conditions in the world.

A series of lectures by international guests and conversations over shared meals at the MARKK Museum at Rothenbaum
The Russian artist collective Chto Delat combines visual art, film, and performance with political theory and activism. In response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, they founded the School of Emergencies in 2022-a transdisciplinary platform for artists, writers, researchers, and activists to explore new forms of artistic expression in the face of global crises. At the MARKK, the collective will discuss their latest projects and strategies for confronting the increasingly catastrophic state of the world.
