There is good news! In many languages. We are happy to share them.

Start with a Friend opens the "Good News Language Café". How does it work?

Date: Wednesday 07.05. from 6 pm in the Liebig-Café (Liebigstraße 257)

Procedure:

1. Make a sign with the languages you speak
2. Get in touch with people whose language you want to learn or simply speak
3. 18:30-19:00: 5-minute "Speed-Friending" - get to know each other
4. 19:00-20:30: Open language café of good news

Why "good news"?

We collect good news from all over the world. We display the articles in the café in different languages. You can help others to understand this news. Good for the mood - and a good topic of conversation!

Housing for earthquake victims

Following the devastating earthquakes in February, 2,026 new homes are being built on geologically stable ground for those affected in Gölbaşı, Adıyaman. The first 356 families have already moved in and report a new sense of security after previously living in areas with soil liquefaction, where their homes sank or toppled during the quake. Nice doctors

Out of gratitude to their country, 185 Paraguayan doctors from the "Fundación Médicos Promo 83" have provided free medical care for 55,000 patients in underserved regions over the past ten years. With over 2,000 operations performed and 20,000 examinations, this doctors' initiative is sustainably improving healthcare in the most remote areas of Paraguay, from Pilar to Bahía Negra.
