Stadt der Frauen – Zweitausendfünfundzwanzig

In the organizer's words:

The Trickster*innen-Ensemble presents a new, smashy production. Freely fantasized around Federico Fellini's film "City of Women", the Trickster*innen-Ensemble serves up their idiosyncratic version of a city of women in the year 2025 in the tried-and-tested Trickster*innen manner: self-determined and autonomous. In contrast to Fellini, this surreal, dream-like trip is about women's view of themselves and not about the male view of the female sex. A reconquest ... quirky, humorous and with lots of music.
Nine female tricksters and two male tricksters are on their way to find a new life out of a stale and routine-ridden, standardized female life... with corresponding crashes, adventures and dead ends, without goal or reason, but driven by the longing to discover something new for themselves and about themselves and to inject more vitality back into their lives. The power of chance brings them together in the city of women. Strangers meet strangers. Worn down by long periods on the road, they have become free to show themselves to each other as they are: bizarre and wacky, wild and rebellious.
A dancer doesn't give a damn about Instagram, followers and any form of fame. The main thing is to dance. A career woman no longer wants to move and tries to prevent burnout by praying and embellishing herself. An artist sees green. A militantly disappointed former lover gets rid of her eccentric ex. The driven world traveler with a suitcase that is far too big, a shape-shifter in a performance mood and the woman who multi-tasks as a conductor, policewoman and porter round off the female population. And men? Yes, there are. One, disguised incognito as a dog, wants to become an artist and doesn't know how. And a second, who turns into a beetle while writing (thanks to Kafka) and is eventually redeemed. Think of the Frog King.
They all meet in a wacky hotel and stage a show with a brilliant ending.
