The most up-and-coming band on the Cologne music scene has been delighting Cologne audiences for almost 10 years now. In 2014, the guys got together for the first time in a small cellar and started writing songs together intensively again. With "Orjenal", the band then presented a very strong title in 2018 in the "premiere year", which is now an integral part of people's ears and minds. With "Ahle Kess", the band made its final mark in the canon of Cologne songs in the 2022/2023 session. Original music with emotional melodies and lyrics is the top priority for the six musicians of StadtRand. With sounds they love, a language they love to speak and a feeling that gets under your skin, StadtRand's songs will win you over.

For the 2024 session, the likeable Kölsch band has released its latest single "En Kölsches Leed". The very first studio album - "Kapitel 1" - was released at the end of October 2023

StadtRand's music and lyrics are authentic, profound yet light, honest and based on their own experiences. "These are topics that concern us, because people should find themselves in the music. Music is the most beautiful way to express feelings and emotions," says the band about themselves. StadtRand makes music to spread joie de vivre, to leave behind the inhibitions and fears of dreary everyday life. StadtRand have managed to unite the feelings of the people, the soul of the Cologne carnival and the joy of life in great songs.

One thing is important to the band: carnival means Kölsch, but Kölsch doesn't just mean carnival!
