Dortmund's Nordstadt is considered the largest contiguous Wilhelminian-style district in North Rhine-Westphalia. The rapid development of the district began with the opening of the railroad station in 1847. Subsequently, several eras have left impressive traces - 117 listed buildings in the city's list of monuments alone bear witness to this. Many of the buildings between the harbor and Hoeschpark are in the Art Nouveau style. It is almost impossible to explore this district in just one walk. This guided walk offers at least a brief - but certainly representative - insight.
