Stäffelestour im Grünen

In the organizer's words:

Stäffele are Stuttgart's biggest attraction, and Stäffelestouren are not just a highlight for visitors to the city. They all start in the city center and lead up through the populated slopes, often through residential areas - very worthwhile.

My Stäffelestour is different: we don't walk along wide, well-built staircases with handrails, but rather narrow flights, sometimes with steps made of rough natural stone, away from the housing estates. We walk Stäffele, where the Swabian diminutive -le has its justification.

From the outskirts of Gaisburg, we hike up the steps to Wangener Höhe, through gardens and vineyards, through a labyrinth of narrow steps and winding paths that hardly anyone in Stuttgart knows, let alone can find their way around. An adventure!
