Having long since arrived on the country's biggest stages in their native Australia, Stand Atlantic from Sydney are now also one of the most exciting acts internationally at the interface between punk, pop and alternative. In late summer 2024, the band led by singer Bonnie Fraser will be back with their fourth studio album "WAS HERE"and Stand Atlantic will be coming to Germany for four shows in the fall. In their luggage: Slowly Slowly.

The career of Stand Atlantic from Sydney can be roughly divided into two phases so far: Formation in 2012, during which they first had to find not only their final line-up but also their current name (until 2014 they were called What It's Worth). During this time, their first EPs caught the attention of more and more people, especially down under. After being invited to open for New Found Glory, among others, in 2017 and being celebrated as the most important newcomers by leading global rock media (including Kerrang!), Stand Atlantic heralded the second phase and have since conquered the rest of the world.

For Bonnie Fraser (vocals, guitar), David Potter (guitar), Miki Rich (bass) and Jonno Panichi (drums), it's been one hit after another since 2018: they followed up their 2018 debut album "Skinny Dipping" with a new work every two years when they first released "Pink Elephant" and then followed it up with "F.E.A.R." ("Fuck Everything And Run") to conquer the Australian Top 10. The fourth album chapter, "WAS HERE", will follow on August 23rd.

Once again, the band has given the classic pop-punk sound an update, with Fraser & Co. adding alternative elements, plenty of pop appeal and depth of content. Stand Atlantic, who have been running a running gag about boy bands since their latest pre-release single "GIRL$" - their signature in the socials: "the boyband Stand Atlantic (boyband) " - are also expanding their guest list this time: For the aforementioned single alone, they brought Lynn Gunn (from PVRIS) and Mexican Brusesinto the studio. More queer and female power is hardly possible for a supposed boy band. While Bonnie Fraser and Lynn Gunn make a strip club unsafe as grannies in the extremely entertaining clip, Sueco and Polaris are among the other album guests. The producer of "WAS HERE", which also includes the previously released tracks "kill[H]er", "SEX ON THE BEACH" and "WARZ0NE", was once again Australian Stevie Knight.
