Steam is a musical-poetic acrobatic show that uses intelligence and creativity to combine
unique technologies and aerial acrobatics to create moments of visual poetry. Loosely based on elements of the "Steam Punk" movement, SONICS intertwines athletic and visual challenges with spectacular aerial acrobatics and special effects. These are tailor-made for the use of the unique mechanical devices and paraphernalia with which the Sonics artists fly through the air and which they design and build together for their shows. A randomly assembled group meets at an "aerostation", the starting point of their journey on the most innovative and modern airship of all time. An incident prevents their departure and the waiting time is filled with all kinds of strange encounters and adventures, which the acrobats bring to life with their spectacular choreography. Each individual act tells a piece of the story, with only the dance in the air characterizing the different personalities and revealing their relationships, friendships and love stories.
