Stefan Gwildis - das war doch grad' erst eben - 50 Jahre auf der Bühne

Sack tugger, sun-bed stand-up and soul sensation, harbor painter and poetry reciter, factory squatter, occasional Santa Claus and Germany's answer to George Clooney - what Stefan Gwildis hasn't already been. This charmer of an entertainer, this walking Gesamtkunstwerk of homely soulfulness, original Hamburger Schmodder and a large dash of amused unpredictability. And what does "has been" mean anyway: he's still all that, somehow at least, and every now and then. Just the way he likes it.

And Stefan Gwildis likes a lot of things, always has. The most diverse things, which led to even more ideas and ultimately to an infinite number of stories worth telling. Almost too much for just one life - and always enough for a bursting evening: "That was just now - 50 years on stage" is therefore much more than a concert, it is a wonderful mixture of hits and treasures yet to be unearthed, of images and anecdotes, of songs and scenes, a multimedia but very analog review of gwildis' work.

In his sounding retrospective, Stefan Gwildis wanders very freely between the various stages of his career, the many life-defining "first times" that happen in life: The first great love with Anna, a story like in "Me and Mrs Jones". The first self-made instrument, a bass made from a broomstick, a "daydream" tea chest, horns, horns, various percussion instruments - and an umbrella as a reminiscence of the Hamburg weather. It's about the first tire he changed himself in his father's business and his first guitar. And, of course, the first time on stage - which, strictly speaking, wasn't a stage at all: Stefan Gwildis' first stage was the streets and pedestrian zones of his native Hamburg. A wonderful playground for music, theater, street art - just about anything you can think of. Just as Stefan Gwildis has done for an incredible 50 years. And the way it can now be experienced on his anniversary tour.
