Stefan Noelle's lyrics are imbued with an extraordinary poetry. Many are reminded of famous singer-songwriters such as Reinhard Mey or Hermann van Veen by his pictorial language. The Munich songwriter is a kind of "missing link" between such inventors of the genre and new stars like Dota Kehr. He prefers fine to coarse, self-deprecating rather than malicious, singing about the "penultimate washing machine of my life" and about his thoughts when his children ask "Daddy, what do you think?" Or he slips into the role of the bathroom mirror in the Trump household. With a keen eye for detail, this "word juggler and philanthropist" (Münchner Feuilleton) finds the big in the small.
On his 2022 album "Wie es mich zieht", he brought together over 30 guests, including well-known names such as Quadro Nuevo, Gerd Baumann and electric bass legend Wolfgang Schmid. "A complete work of art! Flawlessly arranged and gallantly intoned, master Stefan Noelle has a dazzling mixture of serious and cheerful texts, sung in his unmistakable, illustrative language, as always emphatic, clever, critical, poetic and always spiced with a tongue-in-cheek and conciliatory note."
