"LIKE THE SEA" - with their fifth album, the heavy alternative rockers "Stepfather Fred" not only raise the bar once again, but also unerringly smash genre boundaries and philistinism. Anyone who knows the four Allgäu natives knows that they are artists who always have one eye on the stage when writing songs. So the new album was recorded live without further ado in order to deliver the pure experience to fans' home hi-fi systems. After more than 500 live shows across Europe, you can really hear it! And anyway, people have always said that it somehow rocks more live than on record - but not anymore! Stepfather Fred deliver their most mature, but above all most varied and emotional album with "LIKE THE SEA". It alternates between moshpit numbers such as "If she Falls" and "Circles" or the bluesy "Unconditional Love" without seeming contrived. The title track "I am the Sea" is the emotional and melodic highlight of the album, with a fantastically catchy hook line. All of them, without exception!
