A Christmas musical

Where the forest is seven days deep, there it glows and sparkles mysteriously. That is THE DREAM MAGIC TREE. Day and night it lets its colorful dream leaves grow and fly to the children. And there is a little story in each of these leaves. For the Christmas season in the historic Palace of Mirrors, he has conjured up a new dream leaf. It should shine bright and golden, bringing peace and reconciliation. To achieve this, the magic dream tree has ordered a bag of golden stardust from the star cleaner Funkelfix.

The two forest spirits Moosmutzel and Waldwuffel wait excitedly and full of curiosity together with the children in the audience for Pieter, Funkelfix's helper. Pieter lands with the bag of stardust in the middle of the magical dream forest. His flight coordinates take him to the agreed location, but where are Moosmutzel and Waldwuffel? They are very worried because two villains, the brothers Tarn and Kappe, are after the stardust. But the children are watching out.

Will the golden stardust arrive at the magical dream tree in time for Christmas?

Generations of children have grown up with the stories of the Dream Magic Tree. Poetry in words and music enchant the hearts of children young and old again and again.

Together with her husband, the composer and musician Reinhard Lakomy, Monika Ehrhardt created the genre of story songs in 1978, which had never existed before or anywhere else. Her endlessly imaginative stories and texts and his diverse compositions resulted in a symbiosis that is probably unique in the German-speaking world. The best-known example of this congenial partnership is "Der Traumzauberbaum" from 1980. Sold millions of copies and awarded platinum, the work still enjoys cult status 45 years after its first release and was continued with a second, third and fourth part in the following decades to the delight of its fans. Independently of this Traumzauberbaum quartet, the Ehrhardt/Lakomy duo penned eleven more story-song productions up to 2020, which are in no way inferior to the classic in terms of quality.
