In 2022, Genesis went on a major European tour once again with Phil Collins at the microphone under the motto "The Last Domino". At the end of the tour, Phil Collins finally announced his last concert with the band.
The beginning of a new era for STILL COLLINS, the most sought-after Phil Collins and Genesis cover band in Europe, who now have to go it alone. Even die-hard fans of the original still find it difficult to tell the acoustic difference between the "tribute" and the "master". Yet the band can now look back on 28 years of band history and what began in a small music venue in Königswinter for DM 6 admission is now one of the most renowned acts in European tribute band culture, having played well over 1600 concerts.
Several shows with former Genesis singer Ray Wilson or the WDR Funkhausorchester and Sydney Youngblood are just a few of the stars that Still Collins have pinned to their lapel in recent years.
Brilliant sound, elaborate lighting design, state-of-the-art LED video technology at many concerts - the band is well equipped for the next 1600 concerts in absolute top venues.
The line-up:
- Sven Komp (vocals)
- Katja Symannek (background vocals)
- Uli Opfergelt (guitar)
- Wolfgang Braun (keyboard and backing vocals)
- Christoph Wüllner (keyboard and background vocals)
- Markus Hartmann (bass)
- Ulf Stricker (drums)
- Stefan Marenbach (sound) & Jürgen Lagemann (lighting)
From "Selling England by the pound" to the last Phil Collins solo album "Going back", Still Collins programmatically look at the complete musical palette of Phil Collins and Genesis music history and also like to briefly illuminate the adjacent solo theme "Peter Gabriel" or "Mike & the Mechanics"
With around 70 concerts a year, the band is considered to be the most sought-after Phil Collins and Genesis tribute band in Europe - so much so that even former Genesis singer Ray Wilson has been invited to play several concerts with them.
Voice, sounds, arrangements: even die-hard fans of the original find it hard to tell the acoustic difference between "tribute" and "master". "Close your eyes and you'll think it's really him", they say. But not only that! Anyone who has experienced Still Collins live knows that this is not just a cover, but an extremely entertaining stage show by a first-class live band!
