Silence is an alternative to the random flood of images and attention economy that characterize our digital everyday life. The analog spaces that Nicole Ahland found and photographed in rural areas are still. The compositions of the photographs are characterized by caution, calm and time. They become meditative positions that correspond with the sacred emptiness of the art station and parish church of St. Peter.
