STILL::SILENCE

In the organizer's words:

In the month commemorating the end of the Second World War, FrauVonDa creates an ode to democracywith STILL : SILENCE .

The installation concert focuses on the moving and unappreciated resistance of the Greek partisans against the German occupation and the question of a universal awareness of justice, democratic freedom and community solidarity.

FrauVonDa/ follows in their footsteps and opens up spaces for the memory that is still missing today: central sites of the Greek resistance are brought to life in their present-day sonority, diary fragments and interviews with descendants recall the women's visionary struggle.

Together with protest and movement researcher Simon Teune and Greek artist and activist Danae Nagel, among others, the significance of democratic protest today will be questioned.

Resistance is now.
