Voices of Ukraine - A musical journey through the literature of Ukraine

The world has been a different place since February 24, 2022. In Germany, too, we are feeling the effects of the war unleashed by Russia against its neighboring country. But what do we really know about Ukraine - apart from the daily horror stories? Russia's war is not only directed against the country and its people, but also affects Ukrainian culture and its independent history. Berlin actors Jan Uplegger and Mareile Metzner will take you on a literary journey through Ukraine.

The refugee singers Iryna Lazer, Iryna Razin-Kravchenko and Nataliia Kuprynenko and the jazz guitarist Daniil Zverkhanovskyi will provide the musical accompaniment to this journey. The result is an atmospherically dense portrait of this country in the heart of Europe.
