Stimmen gegen den Krieg: Gespräch mit jüdischen und palästinensischen Aktivist*innen aus Israel

In the organizer's words:

Since October 7, a just peace in Israel and Palestine seems further away than ever. The increasing violence is not only affecting the civilian population, but is also making the work of those who are committed to dialog and understanding more difficult - such as the Israeli grassroots movement Standing Together.

In a personal interview, Amal Ghawi and Itamar Avneri provide insights into their work with the movement, which brings together Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel. Even in this difficult time of crisis, they are pursuing a common vision: an end to the occupation, peace and social justice. Amal, journalist and activist, and Itamar, co-founder of the movement and city councillor in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, talk openly about the hopes and challenges of their work.

What motivates them to work towards peaceful coexistence despite the ongoing tensions? And where are the opportunities and limits when it comes to driving change as a social movement? This evening offers space for new perspectives and invites people to exchange ideas and ask questions.
