STOFFEL 2025: Danamaria

With her authentic Texas slang in her voice and a guitar in her hand, DanaMaria pursues a clear vision: a contemporary and unique version of country.
Her clear voice and the refreshing western vibes of the songs give her listeners an insight into the world of her country music. Dana's lyrics inspire you to look deeper and recognize the positive in things. She is all about dreams - developing them, pursuing them, achieving them and sometimes failing, as well as all facets in between. The musical interpretation is more modern than traditional country, with clearly recognizable influences from rock and pop music.
The young singer-songwriter lives in Frankfurt am Main, but has her musical roots in Austin. Family connections take her to the Texan capital time and again, where she has been immersed in the colorful, flourishing music scene for many years and draws inspiration from it.

In 2020, DanaMaria released her first studio album DESERT DIAMOND, which is strongly inspired by the unique spirit of the city of Austin. Her song "Girl With The Guitar" received the German Rock & Pop Award for "Best Country Song 2021" and was regularly played on public radio. It has even been used as film music, including in the daily soap "GZSZ".

She made her TV debut in May 2021 on the program "Bühne frei!" on hr television.

Most recently, DanaMaria released the song "Sundowner", which deals with the pandemic and was supported by the Initiative Musik. This won the German Rock & Pop Award in two categories in 2022.
