The bittersweet dialect program
In his new program, the dialect poet brings out the (dialect) bluesman in him.
Rainer Weisbecker, who was born in 1953 in the Niederrad district of Frankfurt, is one of the original rocks of dialect blues in the Rhine-Main region.
His dialect blues band Die Frankfurter Bluesbube was already singing the blues in Hessian in the early 1970s when nobody was thinking of the Rodgau Monotones.
The multi-instrumentalist presents a program of cheerful and entertaining dialect blues in all variations from his six CDs released to date.
As the musician certainly has a mischievous side, the concert will be livened up with amusing anecdotes and poems from his numerous dialect books.
