STREIT & ZUVERSICHT, the debate format of the ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS and Holtzbrinck Berlin, is back right at the beginning of the new year, because: The early Bundestag elections are just around the corner! While the current legislature is being reviewed, all parties are throwing their plans for the future into the ring. But which plans and visions will win over the public?

In our new edition of STREIT & ZUVERSICHT, the democratic parties present their concepts for a realignment of economic and social policy in Berlin and throughout Germany.

What you can expect

We invite you to compare the positions as impartially as possible and to make a decision based on the arguments of the invited party representatives during this trial election evening. The democratic parties present their concepts - and you decide who wins!

Our topics for the election evening:

• Economy and social issues:
  How do we create a fair balance between social and economic measures? Do distributive justice and economic recovery go hand in hand? How do we make the federal budget crisis-proof and fit for the future?

• Political responsibility:
  Economic crisis, climate change, shortage of skilled workers - where do we start? What strategies are needed to ensure stability and progress in times of crisis? Who takes responsibility for change? What image of the future does this give Germany?
