With Prof. Dr. Susanne Spindle, Janis Wöstmann (FAIRwerker, Stadtsportbund Düsseldorf), Meral Ziegler (author, moderator, cultural scientist) and Asal Kosari (counselor for victims of right-wing, racist and anti-Semitic violence).
To officially kick off the Düsseldorf Streitkulturwochen 2025, the Municipal Integration Center (KI) is organizing a so-called "Streitbar" in cooperation with the zakk on the topic of "Tolerance and its facets". There are often calls for more tolerance in everyday life. We want to find out whether the concept delivers what it promises.
The Streitbar is a debate format with the aim of highlighting and discussing different positions on a controversial issue and making a constructive culture of debate tangible and visible. This year, we were able to win over the following as debaters: Prof.in Dr.in Susanne Spindler (Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences), Janis Wöstmann (FAIRwerker, Stadtsportbund Düsseldorf) and Meral Ziegler (author, moderator, cultural scientist), who will introduce us to the topic of the Streitbar with a spoken word contribution. Moderated and accompanied by Asal Kosari, they will exchange ideas and enter into a (controversial) discussion.
During the event, you as the audience are also invited to position yourselves on the issue.
Drinks can be purchased at the bar. In good weather, the beer garden will be open.
