Kick-off of the second Düsseldorf Debate Culture Weeks

To officially kick off the second Düsseldorf Streitkulturwochen, the Municipal Integration Center in cooperation with the Theatermuseum Düsseldorf is organizing a so-called Streitbar on the much-discussed topic of homeland.

From 6.30 p.m., you can get in the mood for the Streitbar by sharing initial ideas and exchanging ideas with others over a drink and snacks and consider how you feel about the evening's topic. Sascha Förster, director of the Theatermuseum, will also be giving a free guided tour of the museum's permanent exhibition for interested visitors at 6.30 pm.

The event will begin at 7.30 pm with a welcome address by Miriam Koch, Councillor for Culture and Integration, and a welcome address by Anna-Maria Weihrauch, Head of the Municipal Integration Center.

The Streitbar is a debate format with the aim of highlighting and discussing different positions on a controversial issue and making a constructive culture of debate tangible and visible. Our Streitbar is about the question: How is a home for the many possible? In this topic, the understanding of home as such is of course debatable, but also questions about possible forms of shaping a home in which all Düsseldorfers can actively participate and feel comfortable. During the event, you as the audience are also asked and invited to position yourself on the issue.

After the end of the debate, we invite you from 9 p.m. to use the atmosphere that has arisen over drinks and music by DJ Aromateeq, who is known for her cross-genre sets, for a lively exchange or simply to dance into the evening.
