For two chimney sweeps (Jan Gunnar Røise and Thorbjørn Harr), both living in monogamous heterosexual marriages, various situations prompt them to rethink their own sexuality and gender identity. While one of them has his first sexual encounter with a man, the other appears to himself in a dream as a woman. Suddenly he has to ask himself to what extent the way others look at him defines and restricts his self-image. Has he perhaps suppressed parts of himself for decades?
