Studio Azzurro - Forschungswerkstatt Medienkunst

Adults participate creatively in the research process for Studio Azzurro's artwork.

Here you will become part of the research process on Studio Azzurro's artwork "Where are all these people going?". While the conservators deal with the technical side of a current presentation of the work, in this open workshop you deal with the content of the work. What do you think about when you see the people in the projection? What do you feel? Do you associate current social or political situations with it?

The interactive media art installation was created in 2000 for the vision.ruhr exhibition at Zeche Zollern in Dortmund. As one of Studio Azzurro's most important ambienti sensibili, the work reacts sensitively to visitors. It is now being shown to the public in its entirety for the first time in over 20 years - and the museum is taking this presentation as an opportunity to explore new ways of communicating and documenting it.

You will creatively implement the associations and ideas developed in the workshop using a combination of digital and analog techniques. Your ideas and results will be presented to the public in the project area of the exhibition and later documented as part of the museum's research.
