Wild texture, bold colors, big canvas: Suki Valboa is a Munich-based artist who is presenting her abstract imagery for the first time in her solo exhibition Studio X Heat at the art:ig gallery (Corneliusstr. 19).

About the artist

I want us to experience art with joy and lightness. For me, it means the absolute freedom to express myself as a human being - without conventions and boundaries. My inspiration is the emotions I experience and follow when I paint. It is never about the direct path, but about spontaneity, trying things out, discarding and changing. I want to create abstract worlds with my paintings that touch people. They should immerse themselves in them, lose themselves and find themselves again - and keep discovering new perspectives through multi-layered textures and levels.
