Did you know that...?
- almost 40% of German textiles are produced for the wardrobe? We never or hardly ever wear them.
- the ultra-fast fashion retailer Shein puts 7,000 new items of clothing online every day? 82 percent of them are made of plastic.
- around 100 container loads with around 15 million tons of old clothes arrive in Ghana's capital Accra every week? 96 percent of old clothes that are no longer usable are made of plastic.
- less than 1 percent of the clothing produced worldwide is recycled into new clothing?
