New York death metal pioneers SUFFOCATION made an impressive return last year with their ninth studio album Hymns from the Apocrypha (Nuclear Blast). The first work since 2017 combines brutal riffs, technical precision and new progressive elements. With tracks like "Seraphim Enslavement" and "Perpetual Deception" as well as a new recording with former frontman Frank Mullen, the band proves its unbroken strength. Produced in-house and enhanced by Christian Donaldson, the album marks a new high point in the band's almost 35-year history. This year, Suffocation are back on stage - uncompromising and stronger than ever.

WARBRINGER is a thrash metal band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2004. In 2007, the band signed a record deal with Century Media Records and released four albums. This was followed by extensive world tours across five continents - both as headliners and as support acts for well-known acts such as Megadeth, Halford and Iron Maiden.
