The likeable Düsseldorf band plays handmade "jazz funkwave with soul".

Sometimes it "sparks" with rhythmic finesse, then it switches to soulful ballads and modern jazz with stylistic elements of Latin, reggae and more. Fusion and crossover in its most beautiful form. Exclusively original compositions that invite you to relax and groove. Melodies and arrangements that reflect the band name - the sun rises with this music.

In May 2019, Sunny Side Up played a concert entitled "The Living Room Session" on TV channel 21. Long the No. 1 in NRWISION's media library charts, the concert was the most popular TV concert of 2019 among several thousand broadcasts and contributions. In March 2020, the band was then named "Best Band in the West" on WDR2-Pop.
Another concert recording from TV channel 21, "The Living Room Session II" with new song material, was broadcast on German television in March 2023. This time, the band not only reached number 1 in the current charts, but also became the most popular NRWISION program of 2023 overall. Number 1 in the TOP 100 annual charts!

However, the band prefers to play live. The fun the sextet has making music is always immediately transferred to the audience.
