On 20/4/24, the Deutsches SchauSpielHaus Hamburg opens its doors in cooperation with the Centralkomitee Hamburg for the first edition of the SUPERZART* festival. For 12 hours, artists and thinkers from the fields of MUSIC, TALK, PERFORMANCE, WORD & WORKSHOP will come together to paint a mercilessly naive and radically concrete utopia of what a self-determined, free and just world for ALL could look like.
SUPERZART* faces up to the social responsibility of art and culture to offer emotional approaches to the topics of diversity and plurality. Because it concerns us ALL!Reducing fears, deconstructing prejudices, unlearning what we have learned, being outraged together, listening and celebrating. This is how SUPERZART* becomes a big party in which new things are created.
Our festival program:
MUSIC:
Between dance & party, loud and quiet feelings, imposing stage shows or single guitars: our music line-up is wild, radical, political, emotional and danceable.
TALK:
"Intersectionality, Queerfeminism and Sexual Utopia - WTF - What for and Why?"
Why would you put such unwieldy words in a festival title? And why would I want to think about sexual utopia?
People who have been working and thinking about these issues for years share their perspectives and explore together the questions of what a freer, less taboo, fairer and safer society for ALL could look like and what steps need to be taken next to achieve this. The more concretely we visualize a utopia, the faster we can take action.
PERFORMANCE:
The House of Brownies will accompany us through the festival with their impressive performances and our educational cooperation with the Gymnasium St. Georg will bring perspectives and art from pupils to the stage.
WORD: Comedy and activism at its best, curated by our cooperation partner Centralkomitee scientific classifications and the concept of being an ally of the Institute of Socila Justice and Radical Diversity and an excellently informative and stimulating program by and with Fuck Xeah Sexshopkollektiv.
WORKSHOP:
There is a varied WORKSHOP PROGRAM by Fuck Yeah Sexshopkollektiv and pro familia for all makers, the curious and those who like to try things out.
Festival info mile: This is where associations and collectives that work intersectionally on queerfeminist issues present themselves so that we can network and connect with each other.
In cooperation with the Central Committee, pro familia and soorum (Magnus Hirschfeld Center), the Glittorisgang and the Klosterschule. Supported by the BKM Hamburg and the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
