The exhibition"But live here? No thanks. Surrealism + Antifascism" has come to an end, but our Sur-Lit Circle continues. After being enthralled by Leonora Carrington's short stories, we are taking two more evenings to discuss her novel "The Hearing Trumpet". The surrealist text was published in 1974 and is about Marian, who is hard of hearing and ends up in a strange old people's home.

About the Lit Circle
Our reading group continues - and changes each time: into a Sci-Lit (science fiction), Sur-Lit (surrealist texts) or Space-Lit Circle. Depending on the topic, we look at different literary forms. We meet once a month and read texts together that are related to current exhibitions at the Lenbachhaus or topics from the glitch cosmos. Poetry, novels, theory, comics, whatever appeals to us.
We read in German and English and speak in German and English - depending on the composition of the group.
It's good to read the texts before the meeting. We only read small excerpts together and then enter into conversation.
Depending on the topic, the meetings take place either in the glitch bookstore or in the Lenbachhaus - sometimes we also visit exhibitions together if it suits the literature.
You will receive all information about the texts by email after registering.
