From Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon, the RheinRiff in Düsseldorf will be transformed into a real Mecca for all surf enthusiasts - at the SURFERS TESTIVAL 2025! After last year's successful premiere in Ebensee, we are now celebrating a comeback in an urban setting - with even more brands, program and community vibes.

For three days, it's all about boards, waves, inspiration and a good time. The Testival brings surfers from all over Germany and beyond together - whether on the water, on a skateboard, at the bar or talking shop in the Expo Area.

Surfboard test

Test the latest surfboard models from renowned surfboard brands - directly at the O₂ Citywave. From performance shortboards and twin-fin fish to specially developed rapid/river surfboards, everything is included. Some shapers and brand reps will be on site to advise you and give you an insight into their developments.

Surfskate coaching & workshops

Daily surfskate coaching sessions will help you to improve your technique, style and carving - perfect for beginners and advanced surfers. Skill sessions on topics such as rail game, pop technique and turn transition also await you.

Surfing on solid ground? That's exactly what surfskating is - and the perfect preparation for your next line-up. In the beginner courses, we show you the basics: how to move safely on the board, how to initiate your first turn and why your upper body determines the direction. Compression, decompression and the right timing - here you will learn the basics that will also help you progress in the water.

For advanced riders, it's off to the Whitezu surfskate ramp. Here you can train specific bottom and top turns and develop your surfing style - realistically, intensively and absolutely close to the waves. Whether as a dry run or an independent ride - surfskating is simply part of the modern surfer setup.

EXPO Area

In the EXPO Area, selected brands from the surf and outdoor scene will be presenting their latest products and innovations. From high-quality surfboards and functional clothing to sustainable accessories - here you can discover the trends of tomorrow, test them directly on site and get personal advice from experts. The expo also offers exciting workshops, giveaways and the opportunity to talk to brand makers. A must for all those who not only want to experience surf culture, but also help shape it!

Surf Yoga

Whether in the sand, under palm trees or at sunset in the beach club - Annette brings body and mind into harmony. Experienced yoga instructor Annette will guide you through a variety of sessions: from dynamic vinyasa flows to relaxed moments of mindfulness - always adapted to your level. Beginners and advanced practitioners alike will feel, breathe and sweat.beach vibes, movement and mobility: Annette places a special focus on body balance, healthy posture and a flow that lasts a long time - on and off the board.

Panel talks

Exciting panel talks that delve deep into the world of surfing await you at the Testival: At the shapers' round table, surfboard manufacturers will discuss new surfboard trends, innovative materials and the question of what modern shapes have to achieve today. In the "Inside the Industry" talk, brands, media and movers and shakers will come together to talk about the future of the surf industry - from sustainability and digitalization to the question of how surfing is changing in the mainstream. And in the panel with German surf pros, female athletes give exclusive insights into their careers, talk openly about motivation, pressure, promotion and what it's like to gain an international foothold as a German surfer. Three conversations that show that surfing is more than just a sport - it's a movement in transition.

O₂ Surf Masters Contest

The O₂ Surf Masters Contest at RheinRiff brings together the who's who of the surf scene in spectacular city waves. From dynamic aerial moves to stylish turns - the contest atmosphere boils as soon as international ride shots hit the artificially generated wave. Spectators can experience first-hand how the pros show off their skills in the shortboard, longboard and masters categories. Live DJ sets provide a festival feeling, while exciting interviews and analysis on the water between the heats provide depth. A contest that not only impresses on a sporting level, but also celebrates urban surf culture - right in the heart of the city.

Contest After Party

When the last wave has been ridden and the applause is still in the air, the next highlight begins: the Contest After Party at RheinRiff. Right by the pool, the area is transformed into a vibrant dance floor - with live DJs, cool drinks and a great atmosphere until late into the night. Athletes, spectators and scene stars celebrate the day together, swap stories and let the adrenaline slowly be replaced by basslines. The perfect mix of contest high and summer night - urban, relaxed and unforgettable.
