SUS25 – Sustainable Fashion Weekend Süd. Positive Catwalk: Fashion Shows, Upcycling PopUps + Upcycling Workshops

From June 28 to 29, the Karlstorbahnhof in Heidelberg will be transformed into a platform for sustainable fashion and creative innovations. The "Sustainable Fashion Weekend South" offers an exciting mix of panel talks, pop-up stands, workshops and fashion shows - all centered around the topic of sustainable clothing.

Why is sustainable fashion so important? The fashion industry contributes significantly to climate change and is one of the most polluting industries in the world. SUS25 aims to find solutions together and raise awareness of sustainable alternatives. The topic is particularly relevant for young people: They will feel the effects of the fashion industry even more in the future. This is why SUS25 focuses on participation, education and creative co-design - for example at the "Positive Catwalk", where young people present their own upcycling designs.

The weekend offers the opportunity to get to know sustainable labels and vintage stores from the region, get active and exchange ideas with like-minded people. Whether it's shopping, workshops or inspiring conversations - here you can discover sustainable fashion on the spot and learn more about how you can make your closet environmentally friendly.

What can you expect on Sunday?

A special highlight is the "Positive Catwalk", which is taking place for the third time this year. Here, young designers will showcase their upcycling creations in several fashion shows. Preparations are already underway - young people can design their own outfits and help shape the fashion show in workshops taking place during the Whitsun vacations. It is a great opportunity for all those who took part in the first event to further develop their designs and continue their creative journey in the long term. Young designers who have grown out of the workshops can also present their fashion here and network with a larger audience. The Positive Catwalk is therefore not only a platform for up-and-coming designers, but also an opportunity for anyone who wants to use fashion as a means of expression and social statement.
