Stuttgart - The Stuttgart Feierabendkollektiv e.V. cordially invites you to a very special musical experience in late summer. On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, the Icelandic singer/songwriter and entertainer Svavar Knútur will take the audience on an emotional journey between deepest melancholy and liberating laughter in the garden of Villa Jo in Stuttgart-Obertürkheim from 20:00 (admission from 19:00).

Anyone who has experienced Svavar Knútur live knows that his performances are more than just concerts. They are emotional rollercoaster rides that sweep the audience away from tears of emotion to bursts of laughter and leave a lasting impression. With disarming honesty and exuberant sympathy, the versatile musician enchants his audience from the very first moment.

Svavar Knútur presents his indie folk-pop songs, written in Icelandic and English, in an incredibly touching way and spices up his performance with absurd stories and a good dose of black Icelandic humor. He self-deprecatingly describes himself as the "broccoli of singer-songwriters" - perhaps not the most exciting, but definitely very soothing.

The Icelander is an entertainer in the best sense of the word: an authentic personality who makes the seemingly normal appear in a new light and opens up new perspectives. His "cotton-soft, Nordic-raptured folk music" (Rolling Stone) tells of the harsh but not joyless life in Iceland's Westfjord and was celebrated by Brisbane's Rave magazine for his "swoon-inducing voice" and the "wonderful simplicity and unfiltered emotion" of his songs.

In spring 2024, Svavar Knútur released "Ahoy! Side B", concluding his long-running project of a double album containing both rearranged and new songs in Icelandic and English. His live performances are characterized by a gentle voice accompanied by ukulele or guitar, an audience that sings along to every line and, above all, lots of hearty laughter.

The garden concert promises an unforgettable evening full of profound music, humorous anecdotes and a very special connection between artist and audience. Cool drinks and tasty snacks will be provided. If the weather is unstable, the concert will take place in the cozy ambience of Villa Jo.
