Who is SwaF: Start with a Friend (SwaF for short) is a non-profit organization with 25 project locations nationwide. Its vision is an active immigration society that embraces its diversity. All people feel comfortable and have an equal say in shaping it. To this end, they create personal encounters between people with and without refugee and immigration experience - in 1:1 tandems and communities. They promote qualified engagement and spaces for discrimination-sensitive education, participation and empowerment. This makes it easier for people to arrive and strengthens social cohesion and democracy.
