Synapses deals with a phase of life in which formative neuronal and social connections are created.

Transmitting, presenting oneself, asserting oneself, who will prevail? In the frenzy of self-invention, we assert ourselves until we believe ourselves. Attention, synapse congestion: indissoluble insecurity meets indestructible self-confidence.

Based on this overwhelming simultaneity of explosive processes, three dancers deal with the reorganizing brain. They form and cut connections, stand in their own way and swing themselves up. As adults, we think we've made it through the worst of adolescence, but that's just the beginning. So: Get used to it!
